OPPORTUNITIES:
The Laboratory of Integrative Neuroendocrinology is always interested in recruiting personnel wishing to pursue higher training in endocrinology. Our lab employs technicians, post-doctoral fellows, graduate (PhD and MSc), undergraduate (BSc/DVM, summer/thesis/research elective projects) and high school (co-op placement) students. In addition, several visiting scholars and exchange students are also routinely hosted. To channelize majority of our funding for research and to reduce its use as salary, all potential candidates are always encouraged to apply for internal (VBMS, WCVM, UofS) and external (CIHR, SHRF, NSERC) salary awards (studentships/fellowships). In order to be successful in obtaining such highly competitive awards, a very strong CV is required. Therefore, we are seeking students with a deep interest in endocrinology, very high CGPA/marks (above 80% for undergraduate/MSc/PhD student positions), relevant experience and skill sets, and excellent publication record (for post-doctoral positions).
Those interested are encouraged to contact Dr. Unniappan with their CV and transcripts. They are also encouraged to visit the following links to familiarize with the admissions process.
Important Note: If you are an international (non-Canadian) trainee, additional academic, language and immigration requirements are highly likely in place. Such applicants might require additional time to complete all paperwork before arriving and commencing their training.
